OUR FIRST EXHIBITION

On the 16th of March at the Oriental University of the Institute of Oriental Studies of The Russian Academy of Sciences was opened an exhibition of Japanese painter Yoshida Isamu. There were also displayed photographs showing the work of All Japan Association of forcefully interned. This exhibition was organized by the youth club Rikai (Understanding) of Oriental University whith the help from Russian association for cooperation with Japanese interned Vzaimoponimanie (Mutual Understanding) and All Japan Association of forcefully interned. At the opening ceremony following people made their speeches: the President of Russian Association Vzaimoponimanie, senior staff scientist, Dr. Kirichenko; Second Secretory for the Japanese Embassy in Moscow, official from the Ministry of Labour and Healthcare, Dr. Arima; Director's Deputy of the Oriental University, Dr. Khryasheva; the head of the Department of Oriental Studies, Dr. Nikolaev; Vice President of the Association for friendship Russia-Japan, Pyasetskii; member of the board of All Japan association of forcefully interned, Kawamura; professor of Osaka University (Japan), Dr.Podalko; chief correspondent for Sankei Shimbun in Moscow, Mr. Naito; and the President of the youth club Rikai, Nikolaeva.
